Fabulous and Fun Cooking! After being on the Hellers Lifespan program now for over 5 months I anxiously awaited a cookbook with easy to follow and easy to cook recipes. Well, boy I found it. A BALANCE IN MY LIFE AND A JOY IN MY HEART! I don't usually write reviews (too busy trying to get enough time to enjoy reading) but this time I had to say something. Healthy Selfishness is one of the most encouraging, most loving books I've ever read. There isn't a harsh or mean thing in it.

From the moment I picked up this extraordinary book, I simply could not (repeat: could not) put it down. It is a gripping page-turner, filled with suspense and non-stop excitement, but more, it is involving, inspirational, funny, sexy, thrilling, and more!

The plot is never predictable. At the same time, it is always believable. The characters are engaging and delightful (There is a part of Sabbie in me and Gil reminded me of an old boyfriend I should never have let go).

This book has short, exciting chapters which I like a lot and I particularly loved that the characters were never two-dimensional; intelligent, real people caught up an heart-pounding adventure.

The story itself was new and fresh (not the same old rehash that many authors use). I must have sold five copies to my friends and family in the few days since I've finished the book.
